Our clients are currently offering a wide range of elective surgical services and Wellington specialists currently undertake a full range of procedures at the hospital within the following specialities – Urology, Orthopaedics, Vascular, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Head and Neck surgery, General surgery, Gynaecology, Maxillofacial surgery and Paediatric surgery. With theatre and bed numbers increasing with our new building development. Our clients are looking for dynamic and talented nurses to join the team in our new purpose-built 6 bedded Surgical Critical Care unit with state of the art facilities in a friendly private hospital. Candidates should ideally have a minimum of 2 years post registration experience with 1 year spent within a critical care or acute care environment. Candidates must be highly motivated in providing the best care for patients in this environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite, as are a passion for best practice and a personal commitment to continual professional development. The post holder will assess patient care requirements, deliver planned nursing care, demonstrate effective evaluation of nursing interventions and initiate newly planned care accordingly, ensuring patient advocacy is maintained at all times. As a nursing team we work closely with the multi- disciplinary team. Job Name: Registered Nurse - ICU/HDU Requirements of candidates for this role: Hold or be working towards a post graduate critical care qualification. Ideally hold an Advanced Life Support qualification.
