Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Charge Nurse Manager to join a leading private hospital in their Orthopaedic and Plastics’ surgical ward.

This private surgical hospital provides state of the art technology and facilities and is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to their patients and a fantastic culture for their staff. About the position:
In this position you will lead the 30 bed orthopaedic and plastics surgical ward, and also oversee management of the 12 bed mixed surgical (overflow) ward. This is a permanent full time role, Monday – Friday. You’ll join a leadership team responsible for delivering excellence in patient care, working alongside a group of experienced nurses and specialists who are experts in their respective fields.

Your skills and experience:
New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
Hold a post graduate clinical qualification (preferred)
Hold a PG Diploma in Leadership or Management (preferred)
Proven dynamic and inspirational leadership within an orthopaedic inpatient environment
A passion for clinical excellence in orthopaedic nursing
Demonstrated capability in operational management
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
A positive energy, enthusiastic attitude and an ability to collaborate across the multidisciplinary teams
The ability to identify, promote and support professional development of team members to enhance patient outcomes
An ability to develop relationships and engage with the hospital’s specialists
Have an understanding of the private healthcare model and a desire to further your interest in this area (preferable)
