As demand expands, we have vacancies across our midwifery service. We seek qualified individuals who have experience across all aspects of the midwifery scope of practice.

Core Midwife As a core midwife you will work across the scope of practice in our modern maternity unit, providing primary and secondary care to the women in our district. Our core team has close working relationships with the community LMC midwives, obstetricians, COC midwives, the paediatric team and allied health.

Continuity of Care (COC) Midwife Our team of COC midwives work in partnership with two LMC Obstetricians to provide care to expectant mothers throughout the antenatal, birth and postnatal period. Our COC  team have close working relationships with core midwives, the paediatric team and allied health.

Casual Midwife Come and join the challenging yet rewarding practice of midwifery with our supportive and friendly team. As a casual midwife you are a vital part of keeping our service running. We offer a supportive team approach.

Applications from New Graduate midwives and part time expressions of interest will be considered.

Applicants must be registered with the Midwifery Council of NZ and hold an annual practicing certificate. Ongoing professional development opportunities exist to meet Midwifery Council requirements.
