We’re looking for Registered Midwives to come and join our highly skilled, vibrant team providing care for mothers and babies within the Wellington region.
Capital Coast District Health Board is a tertiary hospital servicing a population of approximately 900,000 people. We have three maternity facilities – our two primary birthing units based in Kenepuru, Porirua and Paraparaumu, Kapiti Coast as well as our main campus Wellington Regional Hospital which provides maternity facilities covering healthy, low-risk pregnancies through to tertiary/specialist services for complex obstetric and/or medical needs. A tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is on the same site.
With modern, purpose-built facilities and supported by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you’ll work across antenatal, labour, birthing suite and postnatal ward areas. The work here is both diverse and rewarding – provided in an environment that puts mothers and babies at the centre of all that we do.
We’re big on professional development so you’ll have the opportunity to really increase your skills and experience across the full scope of midwifery practice.
If you’re a registered midwife who is thinking about joining our team come and talk to us. From graduate level to highly experienced, if you’re just starting your career or wanting to broaden your already extensive experience by joining a tertiary hospital setting you’ll find it here with us.
Keeping our communities healthy and well can only be achieved by having great people on our team. We want innovation, people who are action-orientated and demonstrate professionalism through leadership, honesty, integrity and collaboration.
Ma tini, ma mano, ka rapa te whai
By joining together we will succeed
