Job Description

Our client is part of one of the largest NGOs in NZ and they provide community-based mental health and wellbeing services through the country. Their goal is total wellbeing and achieving this through hope and respect and personalised support that changes as peoples needs change. The Registered Nurse Health and Wellbeing Team is a 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) fixed term contract until February of next year.

You will be working with a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists and Registered Nurses and while your clients will be recovering from mental health conditions your role will have more of a focus on chronic or emerging medical conditions. This is a consult liaison role where you will be connecting with your clients primary health providers and family members, and you will be ensuring risk management plans are appropriate for the situation. Its a varied role with a degree of flexibility around hours which can be negotiated with management.


Requirements for this role include:
• NZ registration and a current APC
• A minimum of one year post graduate and ideally exposure to both mental health and medical nursing
• A full drivers license
• Great communication skills and team work
