Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the Role

The team requires Comprehensive/Mental Health Registered Nurses for their 10 bed in-patient unit at Tauranga Hospital. It’s a busy unit providing acute assessment and treatment for clients presenting with acute mental health conditions, dementia with behavioural and psychological conditions and palliative dementia care.

This is an excellent unit to develop a broad range of nursing skills and experience for career progression and advancement. It’s a mixed ward, with an average patient stay of 21 days so you will be able to learn about a variety of complex medical issues along with different treatments available. You will be provided with learning opportunities along with support to undertake postgraduate education specific to this role.
